Coco Chanel was a Nazi
When someone thinks of designer brands, there are many that come to mind, but few have the history, let alone notoriety, of the Chanel brand. The simple, yet sophisticated, logo is easy to identify, and is known across the globe. Unfortunately, both the brand and Coco Chanel herself, have ties to something much darker than a little black dress.

Save the Earth! Don't Give Birth!
Let me start off by saying that the fate of the earth should not fall into the hands of individuals. The majority of pollution and environmental harm is done by just a handful of large corporations that need to be regulated, and fast. But many people are still looking for ways to reduce their personal carbon footprint, and do their part to try to save the earth. People go to all kinds of lengths to do their part, from carpooling, to living completely waste free. Some people get really serious about it, giving up many daily conveniences that are just a part of life to many. But there is one big thing that we can do as individuals to help save the environment. Not have kids.

Was Marilyn Monroe Asexual?
There are not many asexual icons out there. At least, not many that I have come across. There are characters like Todd in Bojack Horesman that are out and proud, and the characters like Jessica Rabbit, that people like to imagine may be ace, but in terms of real life people, the ace community doesn't really have many icons to look up to. There are a few here and there, but no big names come to mind immediately. That recently changed for me, all thanks to a message from a friend on facebook.

Love is Blind
I came from an animal loving family. I had been around all kinds of animals growing up. Dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, cows, you name it. I wouldn't call myself a country bumpkin, but I lived in that little part of suburbia that fit right between the city and the farm. So when it came time for me to go to college in Los Angeles and leave my childhood pets at home across the country it wouldn't come as much of a surprise that I didn't take it too well. Animals had been one of my main coping mechanisms for my mental illness for years, and here I was, in a completely new environment, on my own for the first time in my life, and not a dog, cat, or hamster in sight. Don't get me wrong, I was excited to start this new part of my life and get a degree in an industry I love, but even with roommates and classmates and new friends, I felt unbelievably lonely.

Carrie Fisher and the Legacy She Left Behind
Not too long ago, I was going through my Facebook memories when I came across a picture I was very familiar with. I had posted it on Facebook on November 29th, 2016. I was the day I met Carrie Fisher at The Grove in Hollywood. She was doing a book signing for The Princess Diarist, and I had booked it out of my last class of the day to meet her.
