Living with C-PTSD
It starts off small and slow. I begin to feel anxious for no reason at all. I begin checking the time, counting down the hours. I begin to feel strung up so tight, like everything my snap and fall apart in the blink of an eye. I feel so restless. Everything is foggy. Everything is blurry and out of focus.

What My Flashbacks Feel Like...
Like most people, whilst cleaning I get lost in thought. Perhaps unlike most other people, however, one thought is always attached to another. My mind is comparable to a tangled ball of yarn. It's impossible for me to pull one thread loose without tugging out another one along with it.

Let's talk about something I'm all too familiar with, something I have experienced first hand. Let's talk about suicide. These days it seems suicide in the media is everywhere you look. From live streams and beloved celebrities to the much more controversial 13 Reasons Why." We've come a long way as a society when it comes to hard to discuss topics like mental health, and yet are we any closer to truly understanding the reasons behind suicide and suicidal ideation?

Self-Care 101
Let's talk about Self-care. Self-care is something we often neglect because we're too busy, too tired, or perhaps we feel ashamed for needing time to ourselves. Sometimes self-care means having to say no and put ourselves first, this can lead to feelings of guilt and frustration. It can be difficult to subvert those thoughts.

Love Yourself
I'm sure by now you have heard the phrase, "If you can't love yourself how do you expect anyone else to love you?" If you're like me, then you probably rolled your eyes at this statement. While I do believe it is possible to find love without loving yourself, it is still an important factor in finding true happiness.
