Pillsbury Street
we walk down the street. the blacktop road we walk is still steaming from the afternoon heat. warming our lungs. sunset reflects off the popped plaster of tan neighborhood houses. the boys’ faces are pale. freckled. lack definition. we’re in our summer uniforms of white tees and shorts that match the houses. my baby brother's hand clutches mine. he’s barefoot and his fat feet are hot. watch to the end.

As I Lay My Head To Sleep
Below is an example of a contemporary New York School poem. Both generations of the New York school believed in accumulation and wit didn’t just have a place, but was poetry. Noting current events, pop culture scenes that came and went, and what the speaker saw in their walk was all poetry. It was a way to say everything and nothing at once. Poems became a game between friends and an unknown audience, seeing what little things they would mistake for a bigger meaning. Of course, not all of the poems were pure play, especially in the case of the work produced by the second generation. However, trying to prove a political/ethical point wasn’t the original driving force of the movement. The poem below certainly doesn’t try to swing the reader one way or another, but enjoys the fact it’s being read.

Five Cases of the Better Between Two Evils
1.) Lunch is better than dinner. The superior meal of all is breakfast. Every other meal is a let down. You can eat anything in the early AM (chinese take-out leftovers before 8 in the morning? Old McDonald fries? Four boxes of Girl Scout cookies?) and call it breakfast and more traditional breakfast foods like scrambled eggs and toast hit any point in the day. The same isn‘t true for lunch and dinner. They have set dishes that are way too similar to each other to spark as much creative genius as breakfast. But, lunch has the upper hand thanks to the miracle that is sandwiches. You can put anything between two slices of any bread you find and call it a sandwich. Pototoe chips and lettuce between two slices of sourdough bread? That isn’t your depression showing, it’s a meal.

Top College Mixed Drinks
College is the time for experimenting. You’re still young. You’re going to be introduced to many different views and walks of life. Everything you learned (history, science, how a class functions even) before is going to be questions and you're going to like it. Your liver is fresh and hangovers are cure easily with a plate of tator tots. Cheesy eggs if you’re feeling fancy. That being said, please drink responsibly.

How a Single X-Man Could Have Saved Everyone In 'IW'
One name. Rogue. For those who don't know who she is, Anna Marie, otherwise known as Rogue, is a fucking badass. In the comics, Rogue has the ability or curse that whenever she touches a person with her bare skin, she steals their life and whatever gifts they may have for a short time, alongside memories, abilities, and physical characteristics. So, in the case of superbeings, if she touches their skin, she has their gifts.
