My Bullying Experience

My edit... stay strong.

"You are ugly." "You will never graduate." "You are fat." These are just some words that I have been told. I don't really talk about my bullied experience. Some of this my own mother doesn't know about. So first thing you should know is I was always an outcast. My first time getting bullied was in 7-8th grade. I got pushed into lockers. I got kicked in the shins at lunch. I got laughed at when I failed at something. I got hit on the school bus. I got my hair pulled. This lasted for about 1-2 months. Then I spoke up (from the goodness of a friend). I told the principle and he talked to them. It stopped after that.

Later down the road in high school I got bullied through text many times from a person. He called me a "slut." Also he said that I don't deserve anyone. I'm a "worthless piece of shit." The worst one of all was telling me to "go kill myself." At the time, I actually really did wanna kill myself. You see this person and I had a relationship before this. After breaking up with him, I felt horrible. I went into depression because of him and other things. So killing myself really looked good at the moment. So did I ever end up telling someone? Yeah I did, but nothing really happened. But the good news he didn't do it again. At least for a while... He did it again about one year later. I was stronger but I was still broken.

Have you ever heard the saying "once broken always broken?" Or like when you break a plate? You can glue it back together, but it will never be the same again. That was how I was. I am strong, but still broken underneath. When he did round two, I wasn't ready. I took it like I was strong. But in all honest I went home that night after school and cried. I cried so hard that I was throwing up. You know there was one really sad thing he said that time. He told me I wasn't gonna graduate. The sad thing is he was right. It was too hard and I just couldn't make it. Do you regret it? Yes, to this day I still regret it. It's hard really hard, so don't drop out. At one point I got called fat. I started to not eat, and drink. It lasted almost a whole two weeks. Now I'm better, but I still only eat so much here and there. So, I thought he was done after that round two, but he still to this day surprises me. So because of me getting bullied I stood up for others. I saw bullying going on in the bus and weeks after weeks. I finally stood up and told the principle. Then it stopped, at least that I know of. Luckily I found someone that I have been with for almost 11 months. He has changed my thinking over my past to memory. That memory is gone and will always been gone. Yes it happened but it doesn't have to happen again. Overall, I went through, I overcame, and now standing up.

Bullying is a big problem in this world. It comes in all forms from contact to cyber. It can happen to anyone, age, gender, race, and place. For example, my mother at age 59 gets bullied at her work. You know the sad part, it's by younger adults that have been doing that job less years then her. Another example is a little boy, age seven, gets bullied at home. He gets bullied by his parents. They pick on him and yell at him. That may not seem too bad, but imagine getting yelled at when you are just trying to say how your day was. We need to share our experiences so others know that they're not alone. You are not alone. You can stand up to them. You can be strong. You are strong!
