Not me.

I'm not afraid of anything, but there's nothing wrong with having a phobia or two—or even five or more. In this article, I'll be talking about the phobias I have and the experiences that caused it. I'm very open to talking about my phobias, so here I am discussing them. Anyway, let's get to it.

#5 Agoraphobia (Fear of being in public)

Not my photo.

This is more of an on/off situation for me. I do have s dreadful fear of leaving the house due to some unknown situation. This even happened when I had that one traumatizing dream that I woke up shocked and shaken from. There are places I like to be in, but when there are more people pouring in every hour, then I start to get overwhelmed and have panic/anxiety attacks.

#4 Claustrophobic (Fear of tight-closed spaces)

Not my photo

I hate small enclosures to the point where I can't move around or breathe. I even hate it when a small elevator fills up with people; that's when it strikes. I'm small enough to fit into a box—please don't even think about putting me into a box or something large. Being in a small space gives me an uneasy feeling, but when people come pouring in, that's the worse. Please be respectful when I'm in an elevator or space regardless of size. Empty elevators are the blissful feeling.

And this goes out to the mothers with the strollers. I see you. I know what your true intentions are.

#3 Melissophobia (Fear of bees and insects related to bees)

Not even my photo.

I hate bees. They're terrifying, unforgiving, and sometimes sneaky. I've always been afraid of bees since I was very young. Their stingers terrify me the most. They are flying stinging nightmare fuels. It triggered when I was 11 years old, a bee landed on the back of my neck. I screamed and cried. My mom got rid of that little fucker. To this day, that memory still haunts me. But honey is delicious, though. The fear ranges of honeybees, bumblebees, yellowjackets, wasps, and hornets. I'm just terrified of them all.

#2 Thalassophobia (Fear of the ocean)

Not even my photo.

This one. This is the second most dreadful phobia I have and am featuring in this countdown article. Whenever I go to the beach, I get weird and uneasy vibes. Then it hits me: the ocean. I'm deeply afraid of Oceans. They're big, they're a watery home to strange creatures, and abandoned shipwrecks are there. When I think about how big and deep the ocean is; everything unsettling residing there, my blood freezes up. Shipwrecks in the open oceans. I hate seeing photos of abandoned shipwrecks in ocean floors. IT'S CREEPY!!! The whole ocean is terrifying because we don't know what's there. That's why I steer clear from beaches.

#1 Lepidopterophobia (Fear of Butterflies)

not my photo

Speaking of flying inspects, as mentioned in #3, this is my number one fear: butterflies. I deeply have a fear and hatred of butterflies. Some say that they're poisonous. I believe that. Some say that they drink human blood and other liquids from humans. I believed that, too. What's more triggering is that there can be a time when they fly in packs. That is the absolute worst. I even refused to go to a Butterfly sanctuary or one of those places where they roam. I'm more of a moth person. If a butterfly were to land on me, I'll scream and run away.

So that concludes my top five phobias. Did you find them ridiculous or interesting?
