Finding out I was an INFP
What is astrology and how it’s supposed to work For the longest time, I used to base my personality on my astrological sign: Taurus. I can see a lot of the similarities between the characteristics of my personality and my sign. However, personalities based on the specific position of things in the universe are located in the universe. Can they be accurate or not?

Rejection
Rejection has been a challenging topic for me since November 2019. I‘ve dealt with a lot of rejection which I will eventually go into in this story, for someone who takes things very personally and gets emotional about things. I take rejection quite personally, too personally.

Why I hate myself
Hopeful this won’t be too long. I knew I would become a disappointment to my parents eventually. I have two very loving parents who have given me everything, but I have only disappointed them with my negativity. I feel I will never be good enough at anything I want to pursue. I think I can’t retain the knowledge to its depth or retain it quickly. Often, it’s hard even to recall information, explaining and forgetting simple words in a sentence. I always feel there is something wrong with me, that I couldn’t be in a job learning a lot of information because I couldn’t contain it all.

Figuring out I was maladaptive daydreaming
Recently I discovered the condition known as Maladaptive Daydreaming, the condition causes intense daydreaming that distracts a person from their real life. Many times, real-life events trigger day dreams. These events can include:

Trying to find a spark when dating
It’s going to be a year since I’ve had my break up and with Covid-19 surrounding us, dating has become very difficult for me. Having to result in using dating apps is great but gets very boring after a while. I miss the days just being able to go out and meet new people, especially at university, such a great time.

Is there a one?
I thought I found the one, surprisingly someone I never thought I could even imagine being within a relationship. We were so different, we still are, in my opinion. However, when telling myself this person was the one, I might not have found that person. I just convinced myself to believe in it. They were giving me what I never thought I could ever ask for in a relationship, but they also gave me something I never wanted to experience. Betrayal, my feelings not being heard and just not being able to communicate our issues.

The nice guy with no boundaries
In any relationship, boundaries are crucial. Being in a relationship, you need to understand that you are the highest authority to yourself. Healthy boundaries allow yourself to take better care of yourself – emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. I had to learn the hard way when my partner was crossing my boundaries.

Moving forward to a smarter grid
Our country's electric grid consists of a network of transmissions lines, substation, transformers and more that deliver electricity from the power plant to our home or business—allowing us to connect power to our appliances. However, our grids are generating to its capacity.

Five things to do to keep yourself productive or just not feeling bored during the lockdown
The first idea I came up with is being active, go on a run, a job, a nice walk. If you live near nature, then you can walk on a trail, not near a lot of people. I’m currently using this app called Step bet. You bet a certain amount of money to enter a challenge where you have to complete a certain amount of steps in a certain amount of weeks. You are against other people within the problem and if you complete your challenge, then you share the pot with all other players that have completed the challenge too. A lot of people are riding their bikes, and if you are a person who has never ridden a bike, I think this is the best time to start. No cars and fewer people outside so you don’t need to feel as embarrassed in areas where you would learn to ride. I think walking around your neighbourhood is way better than going to areas that are most likely areas that are usually quite backed.

Simple, sustainable/eco-friendly alternatives for everyday products
1. Straws People use straws every day, most of the time you use a straw when you go out and buy a drink. You get one at McDonald’s, Starbucks, or just a general restaurant. Although many places have started to give out paper straws, they are still one use only. I highly recommend either buying a reusable stainless steel, silicon or bamboo straw. All three have their pros and cons. I prefer a silicone straw just because I am a person that bites on my straws and it can be folded nicely in your bag. They do have these foldable straws which are perfect for on the go. If you are a big bubble/boba tea fan, you can also buy stainless steel straws for these drinks, which I think is fantastic.
