8 Songs for the Kooks & Crazies
I don't know about you, but my music taste is a bit all over the place. I guess this is fitting really, as so is my head and generally my emotions too. Music is one of the ways I tend to express and control my emotions, as the "story" in the song tends to change the way I feel. I think this is useful as a coping mechanism, as it allows you to cheer yourself up or get a little of the bad out in a healthy way. Anywhoozles, here's my list. I'll try to keep it mostly positive.

5 Things To Do in a Mental Health Crisis
A mental health crisis may consist of extreme anxiety, depression or feeling suicidal. For me, it's generally a mix of all three. This results in a rush of energy, feeling like I can't keep still or think straight, feeling like I can't breathe or am drowning and just utter terror that this is the beginning and things are about to get so, so much worse.

5 Signs You're Ready to be a Parent
I am a believer that no one can really, truly ever be 100 percent ready to be a parent. Parenting is one of those things that no matter how prepared you are, it's still going to be the most life changing event of your entire life. It's a rather quick and dramatic change too.

5 Songs for Survivors of Sexual Abuse
Music is emotion, just as emotion is music. Music is a tool which can be used to make you feel better or worse. I guess this mostly depends on your preferences. I use music to make myself feel stronger, but also to release some of the pent up emotions I'm afraid to unleash. If I can feel through the music, maybe eventually it won't hurt anymore. On the other hand remembering makes me angry and anger gives me strength. I'm a survivor. I survived.

Broodiness: The Need to Conceive
Broodiness refers to feelings of longing and the urge to have a baby. The reasoning behind broodiness is somewhat debated by the scientific community. Many theories suggest that broodiness is the result of changing hormones, suggesting women's bodies are biologically programmed to procreate. This theory is supported by the fact that most women begin to feel broody around the same point in their lives, generally between their early to late 20s, but this can vary depending on the individual. On the other hand not all women experience this at the same age, in fact some women do not experience these feelings at all.

Exotic Pets: What is a Sugar Glider?
Sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps) are originally from Australia, Tasmania, Papua-New Guinea, and Indonesia. They have been bred in captivity in the USA and UK for around 15 years. They are part of the marsupial infraclass and their closest relatives include possums, koalas, wallabies, and kangaroos. The name "sugar glider" comes for their preference for sweet foods such as nectar and their ability to glide through the trees, using a membrane similar to a flying squirrel. Sugar gliders are nocturnal marsupials which mean that they raise their young in a pouch and sleep during the day. They are very small mammals, averaging about the size of a hamster. Adults weigh between 4 and 5 ounces, whereas babies are no larger than a grain of rice at birth.

Staying Together for the Kids
The picture above is what is considered the 'norm' and is referred to as a nuclear family. A nuclear family consists of Mom, Dad, and two kids. Why one, three or more kids would be a problem I don't understand, but let's leave that to the experts. A nuclear family is what is considered the 'ideal' for raising well-adjusted, healthy and happy children. Some argue that keeping the family structure together is of the utmost importance. I argue that this is total bull***t. Not only can I speak from personal experience, as a child whose parents 'stayed together for the kids', but having completed a psychology degree I've come across a lot of research that supports it. These are some, just some, of the reasons why divorce can sometimes be a blessing.
